Ghost Towns and Gold Mines
Eastern Washington has a fascinating history from the gold rush and early homestead eras. Here I'm just scratching the surface in Okanagon and Ferry counties. My first expedition in 2015 was devoted to view camera work with 4x5" sheet film over several days. I returned in 2017 with the same work scheme, specifically to work on the Bodie ghosttown.
Those two expeditions were during summer weather. I was sure that these locations would also be interesting with snow cover and returned in December 2017. For the cold weather I chose to work with the medium format camera, but using the same film types as previously. I got very lucky to have just the right amount of snow and survivable temperatures.

Molson Law and Order II
This is the most accessible ghost town and is a must-see. Several buildings have been relocated from their original sites to form an interesting collection. Admission is free, just don't steal any souvenirs. Rollei film and 210 mm lens.
