Quinault Waterfalls
Waterfalls of the Olympic Rainforest
After a heavy Spring rain in March 2015 I sought out the waterfalls around Quinault Lake on the Olympic Peninsula. I shot both Rollei infrared and Kodak TriX films in medium format, with best results when the sky was heavily overcast.
If you go there, stay in the Willaby Campground. The campsites are too small for RVs and the lodge up the road makes a fine breakfast.
An additional image of Bunch Creek Falls is from April 2016 with camping at the North Fork Campground, primitive but free and on the river's edge.

Bunch Creek Falls II
I returned in April 2016 for this waterfall. It's further up the road, but right next to it. It also made it convenient to camp at North Fork Campground a couple of nights on the river's edge. Rollei infrared film, 80mm lens. I saw a huge elk wandering through the woods next to the dirt road on the drive back from the falls.
