100 Years of Motorcycling
Trev Deeley Motorcycles in Vancouver, B.C., is commemorating 100 years as a Harley-Davidson dealership with a new exhibition of their extensive collection of historic motorcycles. As on 3 previous occasions, they generously allowed me to spend as much time as I wanted to get more classic motorcycle photos. Besides many important Harleys there are remarkable British, Japanese and German bikes on display. I’ve shot in many wonderful collections and I have to strongly recommend the Deeley Exhibition – even if you’re not a motorcyclist.
For this trip I used 3 small, battery-powered flashes. Lighting set-up was with a Nikon digital camera (the color images here) and the final, B&W shots on film were with Hasselblad medium format camera using TriX 400 film. The eight bikes here are obviously just a tiny selection of their exhibition, but that’s just how many I can do in 7 hours of shooting.
