BMW Museum
The BMW factory complex in Munich features a new, huge public viewing area for their new products, BMW World. It includes the old BMW museum that I visited way back in 1975. The new museum is larger and very attracive. Since it is right across the street, you will want to visit both venues. Make sure that you sit on all the new motorcycles that they have on street level as you go from “World” to Museum. Then having sat on the new bikes and admired the older models, you can consider your next purchase in the pleasant museum café.
The new Museum kindly allowed me to photograph with lights and stands, despite the visitor crowd. Working around the other viewers I got a few good shots. There is a lot more to be seen here; my photos were limited by the enthusiastic crowd. To plan your own visit, go to http://www.bmw-welt.com.

You can walk across on the overpass, but then you'll miss the seating opportunities on the new bikes at street level.
