HockenheimRing
HockenheimRing has been a famous racing location since 1932, both for cars and motorcycles. The storied history of the racetrack is displayed in the museum, with many great machines on view. After you have feasted your eyes on the machinery, cross the road and climb into the stands to watch practice for free (if it’s not an event day).
HockenheimRing is just South from Heidelberg and conveniently close to the Technik Speyer Museum, making Baden-Württemburg a real mecca for mechanical enthusiasts. Get more information at http://www.hockenheimring.de/museum.
My photos here just scratch the surface of the selection, so plan your own trip soon.

HockenheimRing Museum Interior
From the mezzanine you can get a good view of the range of machines, but there's another display back under the mezzanine too. In the back, to the right of the rotating stage, there's a pristine 1973 Ducati 750SS that's worth the trip (too bad, no photo!)
