Shooting on the Road
While on a motorcycle trip through Germany I came across hidden gems in shops, barns and hotel garages. And here I was with just a simple camera and no supplemental equipment. I share here some of the "what might have beens" if I had been carrying my full equipment bag. Imagine, if you will, what a full studio treatment could bring out of these off-the -beaten-path treasures. Neither of the collections that I shot here were on any compilations of museums for motorcycles in Germany. Nor, of course, were the BMWs and Ducatis that I saw hidden in the back of hotel garages. I just happened to see these while riding - I wonder how many are out there with great photo opportunities.

Bauern und Technik Museum
Riding in a loop on the "Romantische Strasse" near Abstmuend I came across the Farm and Technical Museum. The owner has collected and filled barn structures with everything - thousands of items from artillery to smurfs. The museum is attached to a full-scale country restaurant operation. I had coffee and kuchen on the back terrace, which is under the jet and behind the elephant. Visit it if you can find it.
