Vintage Motorcycles of Idaho
On the occasion of the 35th Annual Meeting of the Idaho Vintage Motorcycle Club, members graciously permitted me to take some photos of their prize possessions. The IVMC group met in Caldwell, ID, just west of Boise and displayed over 150 classic bikes. There was a big crowd of visitors with lots of interesting discussions. There was a swap meet for parts also. I would recommend this annual event to anyone who appreciates the history of motor vehicles, and especially motorcycle enthusiasts.
As a departure from my usual practice, I shot all of these with a Nikon D90 digital camera. Lighting was a single off-camera flash with reflectors arranged around the subjects. Some very patient by-standers held background cloths for me too. Each of these is available in the color original, as well as a B&W conversion, which I prefer. Giclee prints of the B&W versions are currently available at Artworks Gallery in small and medium sizes, mounted but without frames. Call (360) 678-6102 for prices and delivery.
