Vintage at the Barber Museum
The Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum in Birmingham has the world's most spectacular collection of motorcycles, beautifully displayed and in prime condition. Photography is limited to a simple camera, no tripods, no lights or backdrops and only for non-commercial use. I couldn't resist shooting anyway, even knowing that my results would be compromised. I decided that my personal goal was to get a great set of images for my screensaver shuffle folder. Just enjoy these if you can. The images in this group are not for sale, by agreement with the Barber Museum.

1951 Vincent Black Shadow
The 1000 cc Black Shadows were essentially hand-selected parts for best fit and tuning. After setting a world production cycle speed record in 1949 it was 25 years before Kawasaki felt it was time to retire the record's ownership. Imagine 100 mph and the engine just loping along at 4000 rpm. Don't forget to read Hunter S. Thompson's mythical Black Shadow ride.
