Wisconsin's Best
Downsizing and moving to Wisconsin opens up new opportunities to track down vintage motorcycles starting in 2022. Locations and shooting notes are in the captions. My lighting is from 3-5 battery flashes, tested with a Nikon D850 digital camera. Then I take the B&W images with a Hasselblad 500C/M medium format camera with TriX film. I develop the film at PhotoMidwest and scan it with an Epson V850 scanner.
The opening set is from Engelhart Motorsports in Madison. Engelhart's an Indian dealer with a couple of vintage bikes on display along with great new offerings. The next group is from Morrie's Place in Ringwood, IL. Morrie's specializes in repairs, parts and restorations of classic Brit bikes. Then it's on to Harley-Davidson of Madison for a beautiful 1941 Knucklehead chopper.
The next sets focus on a nicely restored BMW R50 from northern Wisconsin, an array of fine Harleys in Milwaukee, and some private restorations in Chicago. Most recently, there's a set from a nice Harley Peashooter in SE Wisconsin.

1951 Indian Chief "Roadmaster"
The bike is of showroom quality. The sales staff kindly aimed some of the ceiling lights downward to help my small flashes get this shot.
